Review: Waterlust Whale Shark Warrior Leggings

These were the first fish print leggings I have ever gotten, and they are still one of my favorites. Waterlust seems to be one of the best known realistic legging brands, and with good reason. The leggings definably resemble a whale shark, and the colors are bright and vivid even after being washed repeatedly. They are made out of recycled post-consumer waste, adding to the sustainability of the product, and 10% of the profits are donated to the Marine Megafauna Foundation, which conducts research and educated about the conservation of marine megafauna.

They are also very durable, especially their most recent design that includes pockets. I wear them a lot when I do underwater cleanups, which can involve sharp rocks or pilings, and they have never been torn or even scratched. Speaking about the durability and quality, the leggings themselves feel very high quality. I am a very sensory-based person, and how something feels can determine if I like it or not. These leggings (and the other ones I have gotten from Waterlust) feel so nice. It is hard to describe, but their sleek and durable feel remind me of a fish in a way. I heard some people say that they do not like the thickness/weight of the leggings, but that may be one of my favorite things about them (aside from their realistic appearance), and give them a high quality feel.

For those who would want the option to wear them under a wetsuit, they work quite well and even help them slide on easier.

The design on the leggings is also available on sunsuits, board shorts, fitted shorts, rash guards, sun masks, headbands, and tops. I personally like it when a legging's design is available in other products so if you wanted to wear it with a matching rash guard or shorts, you can without it looking
mismatched.
