These were my second pair of oceans leggings. Because they are similar to Waterlust's whale shark leggings (which I already reviewed), I may skim over aspects that I mentioned in the previous Waterlust review. Similar to the whale shark leggings, 10% of the profits from the tiger shark leggings go to charity, specifically the Shark Research and Conservation Program at UM.
While I was initially hesitant about the white stripe down the side, I really like how it looks in the water. I particularly like the colors on the grey portions. Like other Waterlust leggings, the durability and quality is top notch, and I really like the thick heavy feel. They also work well under a wetsuit.
The design is also available in sun suits, tops, board shorts, fitted shorts, rash guards (2 styles), buffs, and headbands.
The purpose of this site is to have a spot where different sea life leggings can be easily found and compared

Review: Sewgnar Eagle Ray Inspired Leggings, Rashguard Shirt, and Socks
I had been looking for spotted eagle ray leggings for years before finding these from Sewgnar last fall/winter, and was really excited to see that they also sold rash guards and socks. After getting to wear them in the water for the first time, they may be my favorite swim clothes that I own. All leggings, rash guards, and socks from Sewgnar are made to order, and are designed, cut, and sewn by one person (as of writing this). Because they are made to order, they can be made to custom dimensions, which is especially nice when you either fall in-between sizes (like I do), or if most sizes do not fit you. The fabric used is printed with ecologically safe ink, which is always nice.
Seeing as spotted eagle rays are my favorite animal, I absolutely love the design. They look great both in and out of the water.
I am generally very hesitant about contacting any seller about any questions about a product. My mom had been contacting Jaime about the leggings since they were a Christmas gift from her, and got me in contact when I mentioned I wanted to buy the rash guard and socks too. Jaime was great about answering my questions, and was easy to contact in general. I thought it would be cool if the rash guard was spotted all over, and was told I should ask Jaime. While I was initially very nervous, she was extremely nice and was able to accommodate my request.
Similar to Waterlust leggings, the fabric feels very high quality. They have that thickness and weight that I like in swim clothes, but they are lighter and more breathable than Waterlust leggings. The fabric feels soft and slick.
I have not tried the rash guard and leggings under a full wetsuit yet, but I did wear neoprene boots over the socks (which I had not tried before), and they seemed to prevent blisters and rubbing (I tend to get abrasions on my feet from the boots I use for snorkeling, but did not while wearing the socks).
Seeing as I absolutely loved all three of the products I bought (the leggings, rash guard, and socks), and what Sewgnar stands for, I would highly recommend their swim clothes.
The shorts are not part of the leggings, I just like to wear shorts with leggings |
